Welcome to TeesStudioCo's official web site and blog!
You're probably wondering, “what exactly is TeesStudioCo?”
Well, I’m here to answer that.
Hello! My name is Trena but I go by Tee. I’m a 22 year old West Indian immigrant. I use art as a means to cope with challenges that being an immigrant comes with. I found my love for art through therapy and have since then used it as a way to heal my inner child and express my love for cats.
I was inspired to draw cats after wanting to draw my own; Kiko. He's my 4 year old 19 lb big baby well he was now he's 21 pounds. Since then, I have aspired to own a shop and began with the idea of creating enamel pins (of which became increasingly popular on my page).
I didn't start drawing digitally until the beginning of the pandemic and it was such a fun and bittersweet experience. I preface this with the fact that I have never drawn outside of my high school art class. There were fears of drawing for the first time on an iPad as well as the excitement of new creative possibilities. If you're an aspiring artist that experiences this, it is completely normal to second guess yourself, your work, and just your overall ability. However, the important thing is that you continue and see it through.
Anywho.
As I progressed, I made friends with various artists on Twitter and Instagram and built a little community that slowly but surely helped me in different areas of my work. In my first year as an artist, I had the opportunity to partner with a small business that produced my very own sticker designs! It was a very fruitful experience and the collaboration will always be something I’m grateful for.
Despite facing numerous obstacles, at the face of 2022, TeesStudioCo was launched. We are called TeesStudio because I want my shop to feel like a little art corner that you can come to and delve into the lives of my various OCs; which are mainly cats. I wanted to create a homey, cat cafe feel and I am still working on achieving that. I am so happy that I am able to share this piece of me with others. I love drawing so much. It helps me in various ways and those who enjoy my pieces bring me so much joy. It’s an incredible feeling when my work is not only appreciated by me, but others as well.
Without further ado, I introduce to you - TeesStudioCo website and blog. A true lens to see how the magic happens.
